We released our first full-length record, It's A Trap!, in December of 2008. Since then, we've had regular radio airplay in college stations in Omaha and Manhattan, KS.
As of the summer of 2010, we've released a collection of 4 new songs and 4 live recordings and have since been writing new songs for our next full-length album.
You can hear all of 'It's A Trap!' on our label's site, www.oiledupbirds.com. We also have tracks from that record and the 4 newer studio tracks currently streaming on our myspace.

Artillery Funk was co-founded by the guitarist and the singer. What once was started as an acoustic duo became a full-fledged quartet who's only intention was to create music that somewhat defied most of what was being fed to people on modern mainstream radio (altough, that's not necessarily our main focus as a band). As far as our influences are concerned, we are driven by our favorite aspects of music, i.e., crisp beats, thick/round basslines, guitar solos, high energy/spontaneous vocals, and even higher energy live shows.
We are influenced by bands who've had long-standing/thriving careers in the music business including: the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, 311, Rage Against the Machine, the Black Keys, Radiohead, as well as classic bands like Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Who, and Pink Floyd.
