BandAlternativeRock

Fresh off the Projekt Revolution Tour with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and HIM, Art of Chaos continues to engage fans with their fervent brand of "melodic hard rock." Their live performances boast a full-blown aural experience, as well as an intimate connection with all those in the crowd.

Biography

"Have you seen my soul? Can you bring it back to me?" Croons singer Brian Torres in the chorus of "Wake Me" from their latest release, "Crimson & Catharsis." Art of Chaos has certainly found their soul in developing a post-hard rock sound they have dubbed "melodic hard rock."

Driving instrumentation, combined with the soaring vocals and thoughtful lyrics of frontman Torres have inspired music lovers throughout the country to embrace the Chaos. Their live shows have become intimate sessions in which the most tranquil soundscape ramps up into a frenzied explosion, allowing fans to participate in a truly cathartic experience as they sing along.

With their latest release, Art of Chaos has managed to create a sound all their own; one that is untouched by the confines of genre and unrivaled by their peers."

Lyrics

Alright

Written By: Brian Torres

Look at what you started
And I never would have thought it
Was even slightly possible

Accord to keep it silent
But my heart is growing violent
With the urge to taste you once again

I didn’t know what this would do
Or all the hell it’d put me through
I thought this would be
Thought it’d be alright

Sometimes I wish I could go back
And change what we did
And make it alright
I wanna make it alright

I know some things will never be the same
And I partly feel you are to blame
But I know I wouldn’t change a thing
For the world

I didn’t know what this would do
Or all the hell it’d put me through
I thought this would be
Thought it’d be alright

And I can’t stand the pain
When my heart screams your name
I thought this would be
Thought it’d be alright

But it’s hopeless to hold on
And I know we should move on
I hope this will be
Hope it will be alright

I didn’t know what this would do
Or all the hell it’d put me through
I thought this would be
Thought it’d be alright

And I can’t stand the pain
When my heart screams your name
I thought this would be
Thought it’d be alright

No matter what happens
I have to imagine
That this will be
This will be alright

(For) People Just Like Us

I swear I saw the sun black out that day
Thinking to myself there'd be no end to the pain
And I was so much like you, filled with sorrow, filled with hate
Wishing somehow I could find the strength to push down on the blade

Now with your body scream it out, grab my hand
You don't have to cry alone, 'cause someone out there understands
If you feel like falling down from forces all around
If you feel like there's no way out play this song and sing it loud

I spilled no blood but carry on with the stain everyday
I want you to know you're my saving grace
(yes) You my friend, reason to live, we are one in the same

Now with your body scream it out, grab my hand
You don't have to cry alone, 'cause someone out there understands
If you feel like falling down from forces all around
If you feel like there's no way out play this song and sing it loud

and say...

May we all go marching on
May we all go marching on
And I'll keep on fighting
For people just like us

I marvel at the things our minds think
All the harsh lies that we take out on ourselves
When people tell you your selfish
They cannot see it, so don't believe it

And though we never, may ever get to meet
If you need someone to live for, live for me
And when you feel like giving up
Know that you have my love
And that's worth everything
'Cause you're worth everything

just say...

May we all go marching on
May we all go marching on
And I'll keep on fighting
For people just like us

Coward

Written By: Brian Torres

What you up to now?
Who's your baby now?
Go ahead and tell me
I'll try to be happy somehow

Is he anything like me?
Does he look at you like me?
You said we'd get married in ten years
Did you forget about me?

All the things that you said to me
The promises that you made to me
Save all that bullshit for someone else
'Cause you don't fool me

(Chorus)
Coward you are weak
You wrecked everything
Couldn't find the strength
To be straight with me

Don't you lie to me
And say that you miss me
If you loved me
You'd be with me

Said you wanted to be free
Free of fidelity
Said if you were gonna end up with anyone
It was gonna be with me

Does he want kids like me?
Support your career like me?
Does he walk and talk better than me baby?
Does he fuck anything like me?

All the things that you said to me
The promises that you made to me
Save all that bullshit for someone else
'Cause you don't fool me

(Repeat Chorus)

Too immature to say what you really mean
Didn't have the balls to go and get rid of me
All of the time that you kept me by your side
I was inlove but it was a lie

I'm so angry for the time I wasted
Lingering while you looked for replacements
Can't wait for the day when you come to see
That there's no replacing me

(Repeat Chorus)

But you're not with me....

Wake Me

Written By: Brian Torres

Oh what a year this has been I could recount such shocking tales
But I will leave that to my pen, with the ink the truth I hail
I’ve so many tragedies I know I could fill a book
And they’re swimming somewhere underneath, I just need to bait the hook
Now I am ready to lash out and ready to bite back at all the treachery
I’m finally ready to unravel what’s been bubbling underneath

Oh, I’m calling for crimson now
I’m calling for my wounds
But they’re nowhere to be found

Chorus
Have you seen my soul?
Can you rescue me?
Come and wake me
Come and wake me

Have you seen my salt?
Can you bring it back to me?
Come and wake me
Come and wake me

A dose or shot of some catharsis please, it looks calm but I am suffering
‘Cause I can feel the floor beneath me quake and the closets they are rumbling
And my skeletons are kicking and itching and my pistols are fully ripe with rage
Can the banshee please have back his bullets, let him dignify the pain

Oh, what the hell happened to me?
If I can’t purge these detriments
Then what is left for me?

Repeat Chorus

Calliope and Euterpe what’s with this benumbing punishment?
Calliope and Euterpe let me shed what I have been

Repeat Chorus

I wait for the sound…I’m safe in the sound
