On the brink of the release of their debut full length album, Ashes to Dust is an entity unlike any other. Even though this is the bands first full length release, they have been on the scene since spring of 2008 performing with acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Suicide Silence, Job for a Cowboy, All That Remains and many more. The band consists of vocalist Devon Marek, lead/rhythm guitarist Andy Hanna, lead/rhythm guitarist John Kozera , bassist Matt Harvan, and drummer Anthony Travagliante. They are noted for the catchy melodies, groovy riffs, thunderous breakdowns and thrashy verses. What sets Ashes to Dust aprart from all the other bands out thier is thier ability to take so many elements of metal music and combine it a way that never leaves you thinking that they are just another cookie cutter, flavor of the month metal band. Once you think you have figured them out another curve is thrown keeping listeners on thier toes at all times. Much is to come from Ashes to Dust, what you think you knew, you will never expect.
