Bio
Ashland studied acoustic guitar and music industry studies at Appalachian State University, which yielded the formation of the acclaimed acoustic duo "CommonbonD."
Ashland toured with CommonbonD for ten years, packing venues and pleasing audiences with her signature smooth slide guitar and equally engaging soulful voice. The duo released six full length CD's and were nominated for Best Contemporary Folk Group and Best Contemporay Folk Recording. Commonbond shared the stage with John Mayer, Lowen & Navarro, Lucy Kaplansky, Sophie B. Hawkins, Jill Sobule, eddie from ohio, Catie Curtis, David Wilcox, and Melissa Ferrick.
Moving into the next phase of her all ready successful career, Ashland now concentrates on songwriting, producing and artist development as Managing Partner of the independent studio/production company, Rock Star Productions at www.playinout.com. In 2005 Ashland continues to tour and guest appear with regional and national favorites, such as Kyler England, in support of her first solo release.
