The trans-Atlantic country-folk collaborative The Compass Rose is fronted by the multi-award winning Canadian singer/songwriter Ashley Fayth.
The new record, Take Back The Fire, succeeds her critically acclaimed solo release, Wonder Wonder, which secured awards from Universal Music and the Canadian Songwriters Association.
Ashley’s intimate vocals carry hooky melodies in a bed of folk-country guitars, smooth bass lines, and shuffling rhythms that enrich Ashley’s tender songwriting, culminating in a sound that is earthy & ethereal then builds to encompass gritty rock guitar & booming percussion.
Collectively, The Compass Rose have a long list of previous work with MD (& drummer) Dan Logan having toured & recorded with Thea Gilmore, Rod Clements (of Lindesfarne) & Emily Maguire - to name a few. Ashley has previously played South by Southwest, Canadian Music Week, CMJ New York, and has played across Canada, America, and Europe. Radio play includes BBC Radio 2, across Canada on CBC & other regional and national stations & TV.
