"Ashley Xtina new EP Stability will bring harmony to your heart"

I love how the simple act of listening to music can bring out a range of emotions or even bring a particular memory to surface. I love when a musician can connect so well to the listener that their words and visions intertwine with the each other. Tonight, I experienced just that when I listened to the new EP Stability by Ashley Xtina.

Four amazingly well written songs that are not only emotionally driven but complete capture the listener and transports them to another place. The vocal range and execution by Ashley is gratifying. Her voice can transition from powerful to vulnerable, from mysterious to sultry and so much more.

The first track So Sorry has a soothing almost ethereal intro and then you are greeted with the crisp and heartfelt lyrics of Ashley. It’s honest and raw lyrics can provide a source of comfort for so many as they can connect to the song.

The piano intro on Angel creates the perfect dramatic backdrop for Ashley‘s passionate vocals. Once again tender lyrics are sung and Ashley‘s vocals range from sweet surrender to a edgy conviction. It might be my favorite song on the EP but that would be hard to state since I find myself replaying all four of them! Check out Angel here:

Let Me Go has a very soulful vibe to it and is a beautiful style blended with bold and sultry tones. The last song Things is another highlight for Ashley’s vocals and she has a very sultry seductive tone. I love this song too and has layers and depths of mystery.

The EP will be available on iTunes on July 2nd and is definitely one to check out. The sizzling vocals of Ashley will hold you captive from start to finish. Ashley will be performing at her EP Release Show on July 2nd at Spike Hill in Brooklyn, New York.

"Ashley Xtina - Stability EP"

Although performing original songs in rock/blues duo, Pretty in Blue only lasted a few months, the project gave New York, sultry vocalist and songwriter, Ashley Xtina the courage she needed to begin her journey as a solo artist. Since her solo debut in January 2014, her song ‘Dream' has won "Honourable Mention" in the American Song-writer Magazine Lyric Contest and she has also featured at numer-ous well known New York City venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and Pianos.

Last month, June 23rd saw the release of this incredibly motivated and talented young lady's EP, ‘Stability.' Including four wonderfully written songs, the vocal range and execution by Xtina is extremely gratifying, as she transitions her voice from powerful to vulnerable and mysterious to sultry.
Heavily inspired by Emeli Sande's, ‘Our Version Of Events' and Adele's '19,' these influences run true throughout Xtina's daring melodies and intimate lyrics. Combin-ing a mixture of both pop and soul genres, the four tracks which make up ‘Stability' are a stew of complex, often contradictory impulses. With familiar and relatable break up stories the emotions prove raw and undiluted as each song takes you for an emotional ride through pain, loss, forgiveness and acceptance.

‘So Sorry' opens the EP beautifully as Xtina's smooth and striking vocals of raw and honest lyrics backed by a sweet piano melody, hit you hard in the heart.

'Angel' opens with yet another delightful piano melody, this time acting alone in the introduction setting the perfect backdrop for Xtina's passionate and harmonious vocals which stunningly fade into the song. Showcasing her powerful vocal talent as she begins singing delicately sweet transitioning to a raw and edgy ambience as the song continues, again telling another story of love, life and loss.
‘Let Me Go' displays Xtina's bold and soulful vibe as she truly im-merses herself in the song stretching her voice to exceptional limi-tations beautifully blending sultry tones together.

Ending with ‘Things' was a perfect choice and ultimate highlight of mine from the whole EP. Following the three delicate and fragile songs before, the boisterous and dark intro of this tune comes somewhat as a pleasant surprise. Also again highlighting her vocal ability, Xtina's sultry, seductive tone helps fill the song with great layers of mystery.

An exceptional way to end what is a fantastic and brilliant debut re-lease from an artist I'd highly recommend you keep an eye on.

Currently streaming on Soundcloud, ‘Stability' is also now available for download on iTunes, so go get yourself a copy, because this definitely won't be the last you hear of Ashley Xtina. As her stunning voice and soulful tones are bound to be finding the sweet spot between alternative rock and soul for many more years to come. - Libel Music

Bio

In 2013, sultry vocalist and songwriter Ashley Xtina began performing her original songs in a rock/blues duo called Pretty in Blue at local bars in New York City. Though the project lasted only a few months, it gave her the courage to start working on her solo EP, “Stability” with the help of long-time friend, producer Kevin Frias. Since her solo debut in January 2014, her song “Dream” has won “Honorable Mention” in the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest and she has been featured at well-known NYC venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and Pianos.  “Stability”, released in July of 2014,  is a 4-song introduction to the life and mind of Ashley Xtina.

Heavily inspired by Emeli Sande’s “Our Version of Events” and Adele’s “19”,  “Stability” is a mixture of both pop and soul genres with daring melodies and intimate lyrics. Each of the four songs on the EP represent a different change in Ashley’s life, and through these experiences she feels that she has finally reached a secure sense of herself  which is why the EP is titled “Stability”.

Currently developing an all-girl rock band , Queen of Wands, where Ashley will be the lead singer and bassist, she will stop at nothing to make her voice heard. Ashley Xtina is determined to rule crowds with her words and melodies no matter how big or small they may be.
