Bio
Ashley Davis, singer/ songwriter and rythm guitar, was born and raised in the mountains of north Georgia. Ashley met John Marriott, drummer, while living on Kauai, one of the Hawaiian islands. The two had instant chemistry and began playing music and traveling together.
The Sweetlove Orchestra was born while visiting John's home in Salt Lake City, Utah, when a couple of John's best friends and previous band members got involved. Dan Error, bass, and Benjamin Sweetlove Mortenson, lead.
Though it's hard to categorize our band, i would say our music is predominately Acoustic/Folk/Rock. I myself have been influenced by my upbringing in the south where my love for bluegrass, southern rock, and countless classics first began. Allison Krauss, Bob Dylan, David Grisman, The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, The Rolling Stones, are just a few of my personal favorites.
