As King

Asking, to ask a question is to be As a King the question ire, to be As a King on a never ending quest for knowledge.

Originally founded in 2001 as Black Thumb, Keith (Drums) and Chuck (guitar) were involved with an independent label that allowed them to perform while enduring several member changes. Their consistent evolution allowed them to finally form As King in April of 2012. With the addition of Matt (bass), Dan (guitar) and Trent (vocals), As King is the best collaboration to come to fruition. Matt has performed with several situations that has allowed him to open for such artists as Chimaira, Dog Fashion Disco, Godforbid, Soufly, Psychostick, Motogrter, and Shadows Fall. In addition to performing with As King, Dan also performs with the band Scitna which allows him to share is psychedelic leads and solos as well as experiencing a progressive sound. Chuck has experienced local notoriety while performing his earth shattering rhythms along with the right ferocity and crunch. Trent formally from Hysteria Complex an Arizona based band exudes an energetic sound who knows how to command an audience. His vocal sound allows for versatility and impact worth listening to. Finally Keith brings his hip style of percussion allowing the audience to become rhythmically entranced with each performance. The combination of the different styles as well as the incompatible experience and dedication makes for an amazing new addition to the world of metal.

As King as already garnered air time regularly on local radio stations such as 105.5 The Kat and 88.9 FM, with reviews in local and national entertainment magazines. As King has also gained air time internationally on radio and internet radio stations throughout the U.S. Europe, and the U.K. Their experience in the local scene has allowed them to open for such bands as Soil, No One, Straight Line Stitch. Slaves On Dope, and Kill Devil Hill. They were also a part of Project Independent in 2012.

Currently, Matt (Bass) is booking all shows locally and is in negations with national opportunities. As King’s primary goals are to record a full length CD as well as embark on a tour to expand their experience and gain more notoriety throughout the U.S. As King has an eight song self titled E.P. that is being played on several radio stations throughout the globe, as well as enough material to complete a full length CD.
