Aslan is a rock band currently residing in locations all over Long Island, NY. The members of Aslan began writting songs together around September of 2004 as ex members of many popular Long Island Bands and drummer Mike from Ohio. Aslan is Luke, Billy, Joe, Bijan, and Mike. Aslan has been playin shows since around January of 2005.
The Debut EP from Aslan, "Runner" will be released May 14th 2005 and is available from Interpunk Direct. The EP was recorded at Vu Du Studios in Freeport, NY over a four week period at the end of Febuary into mid March of 2005. The EP was Engineered, Mixed, and Mastered by the wonderful Anthony Vero. Anthony is the man and as far as we are conserned he should engineer every album that is recorded. The Guys at Vu Du Studios are awsome. Austin makes a wicked pot of coffee that became a near addiction for some of us. They were awsome to work with and helped us out a lot to make this album what it is now.
Currently there is only one song available on our purevolume site however the week before and after the CD is released and for that time period only Aslan will be streaming the entire album on purevolume so be sure to check back. If you like the music you hear please purchase a copy of the CD for around only $5 from Interpunk Direct or any Aslan show. Aslan is currently taking some time off from shows to finish the recording of the Runner EP and get the ball rolling for the summer tour.
