BACKSEAT SUPERSTARS are a band out of the US state Georgia playing typical mid-late 80s LA/Hollywood Sleazy dirty mean Rock and Roll in the style of LA GUNS, MOTLEY CRUE, GUNS’N’ROSES… This kind of Rock and Roll is all about kickin’ ass and BACKSEAT SUPERSTARS has succeeded in releasing a very strong 6-songs counting mini-CD. Without a doubt these guys are good in what they are doing and right now they bare recording their full-length debut CD, which will be produced by ANDY REILLY (THE CULT, UFO, MAIDEN, BON JOVI…). This mini-CD shows we have to keep our eyes open for that upcoming CD, which might well become the best anticipated Sleazy Hardrock release since GUNS’N’ROSES debut from 1987.

Bend over kiddies its time for your Rock and Roll enema. Don’t fight it, relax and take it, cuz you are about be saturated by the Backseat Superstars.

This Atlanta Georgia based Metal band isn’t fuckin around when it comes to their music. The only disappointment I had when I listened to it was that the CD was only a Demo.

The sound is strong and pungent and you notice that right off. There is a presence here that stands out from the rock you hear played on the air today by the corporate program director fascists.

The CD opens with “White Trash Gutter Girl” and right off the bad you are jammin. Intense double bass drums and lyrics that make your brain shake inside your skull. This song has a glam metal element to it. The guitar solo screams WAKE UP! And then more with the quixotic drums, it’s like a religious experience.

“Hooligan Cowboy” comes at you with a bass and drum line backing up vocals that are unrivaled by any band I have heard in the last few years. The guitar keeps it all straight so you don’t forget what this is all about. It’s about the Metal baby and that’s a fact.

Next is “Unforgotten”. Its fast, it’s furious, and its insane. The best part of this song is the harmonic backgrounds. The music rocks ass, but I am a sucker for mellifluousness. Ya know as soon as I say that they spank me with a screaming guitar solo…thanks boys I love being smacked around.

Finishing up the CD is “Vegas Nights”. Hard edged and furious this song exemplifies Joe’s versatility in his vocal range. If he doesn’t lose his voice after shows I would be a-fucking-mazed. He takes it right to the edge and as soon as you think he cant do much more, your skull splits with maniacal drum fills, yet another guitar solo and Joe back screaming in your ear.

Now for those of you fuckers that are gonna be fortunate enough to go to Crue Fest in LA…these cats are playing at the Whiskey on July 30th 2005…Don’t miss this show or I will whip your ass.
