Bio
Born in Willow Grove, PA, Assunta grew up with a passion for various styles of music. At a young age her flair for musical performance developed performing solos in elementary school. Assunta’s love of musical performance can be traced back to the music she heard in her home growing up. Artist like Stevie Nicks, Cher, The Beatles, and Barbra Streisand have all influenced her in a way that shows how music can cut across genres. Singing in choirs and musicals in high school have all helped her find her passion for performing and the voice needed to portray the story in various styles of music. In the summer of 2011, Assunta competed in a vocal competition with vocalists of various ages. She took second place out of fifteen contenders. Assunta continues to develop her voice and help others find theirs by volunteering with her high school choir. Currently Assunta is working on recording a full CD of various pop cover songs. She hopes to minor in music as she continues her college career.
