"Astro-Physics"

Astro-Physics really embody the evolution of UK hop hop: tall tales of guns, money and women are being drowned out by intelligent articulation of ambition and self improvement. This six piece Brighton outfit have found success on the festival scene, most notably with a performance at 'The Bill Chill' festival. Utilising genuine musical talent and sharp lyrical flow creates an exciting concoction that should make for an incredible live show. As a hip hop fan it is extremely exciting to live in a place so bursting with talent - and Astro-Physics are no exception. If hip hop tickles your fancy, or even if it doesn't, I would recommend, purely as a fan of music, to give Astro-Physics a listen and immerse yourself in hip hop's new sound. - Brighton Unsigned Magazine

"Astro-Physcs at Concorde 2"

"It was when Brighton's Astro-Physics burst on stage... that things really got interesting. MC Skilf grabbed the crowd's attention instantly and created a dominating stage presence. The band kicked into a drum and bass rhythm that showcased an unbelievable dexterity between the members. The energetic performance had, by this point whipped the crowd into a frenzy!" - XYZ Magazine

Bio

Astro-Physics are a 6 piece Hip-hop collective, drawn together from a mutual love of old skool hip-hop. Formed in Brighton on the south coast the band sought to combine influences of Hip-Hop artists such as N.E.R.D, The Roots & The Fugees and blend these with heavy riffs and synth lines more associated with Rock and Electronic Dance bands such as Pendulum and early era Prodigy.

Astro-PhysicsÂ’ unique sound comes from their adept ability to fuse hip-hop, rock and pop in a fiercely distinctive British fashion.

Known for their rowdy, energetic performances, Astro-Physics have already shared stages with the likes of: Pendulum, Taio Cruz, Chipmunk, Sway, The Correspondents, The Futureheads, Guru Josh Project, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Lazy Habits, Kidz in the Hall, and more.

The band is fronted by Rapper/MC Skilf, and singer Rachel Mosleh and also includes Steve Rainbow (bass), Martin Deering (drums), Jonny Coote (keys) and Mike Hawkins (guitar).
