The AS YOU ARE Praise Band is a gospel-like rock praise band with dashes of soul, R&B and pop-country funk influence. They have modified traditional contemporary praise & worship songs and have thrown in musical creativity and spice! With a rich and sundry mix of cultural and musical backgrounds, the band came together around '07 to create a sound that is unique.
Through diverse cultures, they united because of their real passion: to worship the King of Kings through music. They believe that singing praises to Jesus is a very beautiful and deeply trans-formative experience. That being said, they take their ministry very seriously. They believe that God deserves our total praise and they are not afraid to let loose when they worship Him. The AYA Praise Band exists to glorify God; inviting families everywhere to seek God wholeheartedly in an atmosphere of worship like they have never experienced before.
They are identified as a Praise band, but their sound is not like any other group out there. The distinctive vision of the AYA Praise Band is to bring different cultures together from everywhere for the purpose of a spiritual awakening in their community.
