Bio
Athan Hilaki is a Singer, Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist (Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Piano, Ukulele, Harmonica, Percussion). He was born in Athens, Greece and moved to New York in 2008. He is the founding member of the Alternative Rock / Indie Rock band, Trapped In Static (New York, 2011). Athan has performed with various bands and singer/songwriters as a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist on stage as well as in studio. Along with Trapped In Static and GAD he has shared the stage with musicians such as The Killers, Duffy, The Prodigy and more.
In 2014 Athan wrote the soundtrack for the TV movie “Preying For Mercy”, written & directed by Bill Duke, featuring the two time EMMY award winner Martha Byrne. Since then, he has written many soundtracks, as well as theater and film scores. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Athan continues to write music, perform live and is touring with various musicians.
