Bio
Athena is a London based Greek singer-songwriter. Her debut album "Breathe With Me", released independently in 2008 by Embraceable Records in the UK, and by Sony BMG in Greece, where she received major publicity.
Her three, near sell out UK tours headlined venues like the Jazz Cafe, Sage Gateshead, Queen Elizabeth Hall and festivals like Glastonbury (Acoustic Stage with Susan Vega and Joan Baez), the album reaching No 5 in the UK Amazon and No 17 in the Virgin charts. She was featured in a one hour documentary entitled MyMusic, a series exploring the music of leading new singer songwriters in the UK, aired on Channel 5 and repeated several times on SkyArts. She recently headlined the prestigious outdoor venue, Megaro Mousikis in Athens.
Athena is in the studio again in London and Sweden this winter, to record her follow up album with uber cool Swedish Producer, Tobias Froberg, at the helm.
