Bio

The members of Houston-based aggressive alternative rock band, A Thousand Mile Stare, make no apologies. Not for their progressive appeal to the general audience, not for their raw primal calling to the fans of in-your-face rock & roll – not even for how long it took for you to hear of them.

Formed in August of 2004, A Thousand Mile Stare has been biding their time, perfecting their craft, and preparing to pollute the airwaves with their distinctive brand of melodic metal. With individual influences touching on nearly every genre of music, A Thousand Mile Stare find themselves labeled differently after each show they perform. Using distorted jazz guitars, progressive bass, punk drums, and a triple-threat vocal assault, the band looks to resurrect what they found interesting about music in the first place.

In November 2005, A Thousand Mile Stare released their seven-song EP entitled “Seven Steps to Self-Destruction,” and were voted into the Houston Band Coalition in March 2006. Although still young, A Thousand Mile Stare seems to breach the local fan base with their unique energy and power on stage, as well as distinct leadership among the Houston scene that is sure to initiate a dominant run in the music industry.
