Bio
"What makes this work – and work so very well – is the almost tropical lyricism buried beneath the buzzing electronics, skronky horns, ominous pulse, herky-jerky rhythms and outer-space sound effects. The sound splits the difference between Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead (both Pink Floyd fans, remember) settling into a spare industrial groove that leaves plenty of room for artfully placed guitar and horn shadings. Much of it has a revelatory feeling: songs unfold, shift, gradually open or coalesce, as if we’re watching a film develop before our eyes. Granted, it drags a bit in the middle, but otherwise fantastic." (j.Levy - rolling stone magazine)
