A-TRAE DOLLAZ

Alex Adam Andrews born september 16 1985, also known as A-trae. The name A-TRAE coming from the first initial of his first middle and last name, is a 23 year old hip-hop artist, producer, writer and composer currently living in mississauga.
Born in Nairobi Kenya, at the very young age of 1, Alex and his family of 5 moved to canada.
Winnipeg Manitoba to be exact is where Alex would spend 15 years of his life before relocating to mississauga.

At the young age of 8, Alex would come to find a strong love for music.
With 2 older sisters, growing up Alex would listen to the music his sisters were listening to. Genres from rnb,rap,reggae and even music from his parents language of swahili.
Alex would memorize lyrics that not even his family could remember.

By 13 Alex was writing the life he had been living and seeing, but not yet recording any material.
Playing basketball with friends was his favorite hobby but his favorite artist was Tupac.
Going to school and not going to class became an everyday thing for Alex. By 14 he stopped showing up or even acknowledging that his education would be cut short. Working full-time at a local restaurant would become his only form of income.
Living in a city(winnipeg)where a crime could pay for your every need plus more, nearly sent Alex down a path that would've either had him dead or in jail.
By 15 Alex and his family relocated to mississauga, in hopes of a better life.
Playing basketball in the neighborhood was the only way to meet people. Moving to a city where you dont know anyone is one of the hardest things any kid can do.
Playing ball would lead Alex to a mississauga music producer named BlackGhost, who eventually as time passed became a good friend of Alex's.
Alex and Blackghost had alot in common and music was one of them.

By 17 Alex would come to find a recording studio located in mississauga with the confidence in mind
of releasing his first studio appearance. Consisting of 5 mixtape tracks that would be released to eventually become a demo/promo cd, to further his plan of becoming the next Hip-hop star.

Years down the road Alex and Blackghost would see each other at parties,clubs and even in and around the city.
This is where music production would become Alex's favorite pass time.
Blackghost is the one who showed Alex how to structure a beat, which would lead Alex to producing his own beats and crafting his lyrical abilities.

Currently Alex is producing music,recording music,writing and is now moving forward seeking shows for exposure.
