Seeing True Story play live is truly an experience that you do not want to miss! These five guys all have one heart for God and it shows in their lives and their music. Whether they are playing worship songs or original music, they play it all with the same fire and intensity for their Savior! True Story is awesome!

"PASSION"

Passion. Everyone seeks to find passion, to hold onto passion and to truly exude passion. 'True Story' is a band that is sold out to their own passions. First and foremost it is obvious that it is Christ and truly letting Him use them for His glory. Second, it is to reach people for Christ. Their music is just the tool to make this happen. When first taking a look at the band, I immediately thought they would be incredibly hard and rough. An incredibly poor judgment on my part. Sounds that compare to that of Third Day and Casting Crowns allows them to jump into the industry commanding to be heard!

"Poverty" is a beautifully played tune that starts out soft but rocks out shortly into the song. Even if I muted all the instruments, I would still be moved by the lyrics. "Change my heart, Oh God and make it new". Words that are built into many songs in many ways, but so few bring forth true desire to scream for healing. I sat listening to this song, "Crimson Stain" and found myself melting away into worship. "When I'm thirsty, let it rain"...what lyrics, what beauty!

It seems as though 'True Story' has a clear grasp on writing music that not only touches the heart, but grabs and moves the spirit into crying out to Jesus in new ways! I am thrilled to have experienced their music because it is truly more than music; it is transparency of the heart. Every song is screaming passion and praise. Becoming pleasantly surprised by not only their sound but by the worship that I experienced while listening was amazing! "What a God" is just a song...true worship!

This group is fairly new to the industry having only been together for 3 years. With that being said, their sound is old school. Their melodies work so well together that it seems they have been around forever! Recommending this album will be like taking a breath, I won't even have to think about it! True Worship, True Rock, True Passion! I give True Story 4 1/2 stars! - ROCKTHECROSS.NET

Bio

High energy and passion are the two things that best describe True Story. Over the last year they have won the Battle of the Bands at Atlanta Fest, the Battle of the Bands on J93.3, and the Featured Artist on Rockthecross.net. They have played the main stage at Atlanta Fest, Atlanta Christmas Conference, Show Me How To Live Conference, Georgia Christian Youth Convention, The Global Missions Conference, Christian Music Weekend, and performed live on J93.3 Atlanta Christian radio...shared the stage with, David Crowder, Leeland, Jeremy Camp, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Afters, Natalie Grant, Pocket Full of Rocks, Between The Trees, Never The Less, and Remedy Drive all while creating their new self-titled album, True Story. Their influences range from David Crowder and Leeland to The Beatles and Bach. In addition to their passion for music, the guys have a passion for students. They get just as excited to hang out afterwards with those attending the event as they do playing their music. There is no doubt that ministry is the driving force behind everything they do.
