"Audego - "FIGHT""

There are few better feelings in this world than those received from listening to a song and having it instantly blow you away. And with Audego’s new single,”Fight”, it’s the extreme intrigue and curiosity that blows away the listener; it’s not a bonafide pop gem; rather, an incredibly alluring listen with a multitude of interesting elements.

From synths that sound like they were conceived in a deep cavern on Mars, to the cloud-dwelling ethereal vocals of Big Fella (yes, that’s the female vocalist’s stage name), the music that this Australian duo create on “Fight” is truly out of this world.

“Fight” is taken from the duo’s sophomore album, Beneath the Static and the Low, which is out now. We have yet to dive into the album ourselves, but after being enamoured by “Fight” here, you can expect a review from us shortly. Anyways, get to it and dive into “Fight” below, and make sure you listen all the way through, because there’s a great hip-hop breakdown towards the end. - Hillydilly

"Audego"

Audego sound like the love child of Faithless and Deerhunter – the dense hard hitting hip-hop bass acts as the foundation for it’s light composition which calmly washes over you. Their music speaks to your inner dancer, as it unlocks a small universe of something special. - Speaker TV Blog

"Audego: Artist You Should Know"

About a year ago, I discovered a future soul duo based in Melbourne called Audego.

I was immediately seduced by Carolyn’s airy, ethereal vocals & the beat heavy, progressive production courtesy of Pasobionic.

Audego’s music is nostalgic yet contemporary.

The duo clearly has taken cues from early 90′s R&B from the likes of Aaliyah and En Vogue and infused those styles with modern sounds as you would hear from the likes of Little Dragon and Phantogram.

They have two albums under their belt — “Beneath the Static” and the “Low and Abonimable Galaxy” – both of which are available on Bandcamp.

They are currently working on their third full length due to drop some time in 2015, but have given KCRW a 24hr exclusive to offer a free download and world premiere the stream of their new single “Moments”

Enjoy! - KCRW

"20 Musicians You Need to Know About In 2016"

This chick’s voice is awesome. It’s super airy, soft and heartfelt. I hate comparisons, but if I had to compare this to anything else I’d say it sounds like the gangster version of Daughter, who I also love. The reason why fuck with AUDeGO is because I really like minimalistic music—and there is soul and experience to their songs - The Fader

"AUDEGO – “FERAL”"

Australian experimental duo Audego are back with a brand new single “Feral,” ahead of the release of their third full-length. Together, Paso Bionic and Carolyn Tariq have been consistently creating inventive “electro-R&B” since the group’s genesis in 2010. The genre may have since been flooded by a bevy of singers with drum machines, but in spite of it all Audego stays keeping their music fresh and funky.

On “Feral” the vibe is somewhere between fellow Australians Hiatus Kaiyote and L.A. duo Made In Heights, with a jangling, asymmetrical beat under lilting, almost-but-not-quite-sultry vocals. The groove sneaks up on you, and before you know it you’re dancing. - Pigeons and Planes

"Audego - Side Effects"

Slow-tempo music is a real hit or miss -- it can beautifully capture the mood, or miss the mark and just be another filler in the mix. With Audego's sound, you get velvet vocals mixed with ethereal electronica. This fits in very well with the current Australian scene, but also extends beyond our borders to reach international markets.

If you like future R&B or are looking for a quiet, moody escape from the bass-driven songs of today's mainstream, kick back, turn the dial down a notch, and enjoy music for the sake of music. Here you get 3 minutes and 24 seconds of pure escapism. - Indie Shuffle
