"Review of “Blue: the fifth imprint.”"

www.eastcoastromper.com
by: Stephanie Stevens

My first introduction with Ohio based AUDIBLETHREAD wasn’t the greatest because the CD they sent me skipped and didn’t work. So, I never got to hear a good version of their music. A few months have gone by and they finally sent me a new disc that works. With only two songs on this one, it was hard to get an overall feel of the band, but these two songs do have some differences. To begin with I fell in love with the song NEVERSHINE. Why you might ask? Well, because for one they have a One Side Zero feel to them. The vocals are so comforting and beautiful sounding. The music is nothing flashy or in your face, very subdued but has that dark, moody, melody induced ROCK brilliance. It’s a real strong song and the chorus really opens up the song and is the highlight of the track. Next up is SILHOUETTE with spurts of heavy notions this song still stays pretty subdued. AUDIBLETHREAD have great qualities for making an extremely impressionable rock band, with quality music and a vocalist who can capture your heart. Now all we need is a full length from these guys and I will be a happy camper. - EAST COAST ROMPER WEBZINE

"Review of “Polar Shifts: a prelude...”"

Editor in Chief - Wayne Klinger

I’ve been in touch with this band for over a year now and with everyone’s conflicting schedules, we were just not clicking as far as trying to get review materials in and finally, the arrival day has come and this Ohio band is pretty damn incredible.

Just a taster, “Blue” is a preview for the upcoming full-length they will eventually release sometime this year. This Cleveland-based 5-piece is a modernized Metal type of band, not so much Nu Metal but in the vein of some bands for instance, Saliva, Kings X, UFO, Full Devil Jacket but they offer more crunch with their mix of harmonies and melodies along with the great vocal talent of Eric C. Hess.

I just don’t see why these guys aren’t signed yet. The press around the Cleveland area even dubs these guys as the best band. Of course, I’ll argue about this until I’m blue in the face as I get a lot of these bands from around the United States and abroad and just sit here and scratch my head. The media needs a serious overhaul. I’m just glad there’s writers and other media out there that finds great bands like these to bring forth to the forum and out of the obscurity of the underground. Audiblethread is definitely worth your time checking out. - QUINTESSENCE METAL WEBZINE

"Rock On the Rise"

October 2006
“Rock on the RISE”
Review of the Cleveland Music Fest
by Andrew Gargano

Some consider Audiblethread to be the best band in the Cleveland area. Perhaps it was this reputation that landed them the headlining bill at the Cleveland Music Fest’s Showcase. Regardless of what the people think, however, the music speaks for itself. Audiblethread reflects Tool, Pink Floyd and the mellower side of Nine Inch Nail; their harmonies and melodies are captivating, and their live show is great! In addition to a set list filled of original songs, Audiblethread delivered the single greatest song performance of the weekend, a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Something I Can Never Have,” which also appears on their current E.P. Polar Shifts: a prelude...” Their first full length, titled, “Polar Shifts: Vibrations,” is due out in the Fall of 2006.

Music can be much more than the sounds you hear: there is a connection with the meanings, feelings, the band, and the others around you. Few bands offer this experience. Guitarist Robert Uhoda describes Audiblethread as “our way to connect to you through music...it’s what keeps us together.”

After three quick years since the band started performing live, they have gained a strong regional fan base, released the EP, “Blue: the fifth imprint,” the acoustic EP, “Suture,” and showcased in music festivals in Chicago, Texas and Ohio.

In May of 2004 they were voted “Best Band in Cleveland,” by their fans. A contest held by Scene Magazine and Chicago’s MECA Music Conference secured them a spot in the showcase. 2005 showed a change in direction with the release “Polar Shifts: A Prelude to the Positive/Negative,” The E.P. included reworked versions of “Nexus” and “Coeval,” along with new songs “This Synapse Is Broken,” “The Focus,” and their own rendition of NIN’s “Something I Can Never Have.”

Our next release is scheduled for Fall 2006, titled, “Polar Shifts: Vibrations.” Currently we are in the studio at Conquistador Studios (North Olmstead, OH), where Cole Martinez (guitarist/composer and engineer for Years Of Fire, Thorp Records) is recording and capturing the new material. This new release will be showcasing our constant evolution--we are growing as musicians and songwriters.

Along with this release we are working on a DVD that will highlight the latest release, live performances, promotional videos and photos.
