Audio ID

Chicago's Audio ID is a band that touches many different corners of music. Since 1999, the band has created songs that not only move crowds, but also push the musical boundaries of aggressive rock. Their style, which they call mind music, has fused the influences of all its members into a distinct and unique sonic sound.
The members of Audio ID are as diverse as their music reflects. Their rhythm section, which consists of Josh Pierce (Drums), Danny Gutierrez (Percussion), and Mike Zaskar (Bass), pull their beats and tones from the pools of rock and roll, world music, alternative metal, and countless other genres. When asked how he felt about his band mates and the different types of music that everyone likes, Mike said, "Sure, there's common ground, but then there are times when we're polar opposites."
Jerry, the vocalist of the band, added, "That's what makes writing with each other so amazing. All our individual influences mesh so well together, even though some of them are so different."
The band's color is added by Jimmy Peace. Jimmy is a guru at spreading out his sound like a wide-open prairie and then sucking you in with a vacuum-like intensity of sharp strokes and a bullet-like attack. As an independent entity, they've reached people around the world, while staying true to their grass roots methods.
Audio ID's goal is to expand their fan base beyond its personal resources. The band's attitude is that every kid is an ID, they just don't know it yet. With proper exposure, promotion, and expansion, they know that those involved will be a part of a solid foundation that will evolve into a family-like environment.
When discussing the topic of support from outside the band, Danny said, "I'd like those who work with us to share our vision and help us obtain our immediate and long-term goals."
Audio ID has set their sights past the normalcy of modern music. Paul Czarnowski, of CRC Pulse, summed it up perfectly by saying, "These are the five most dedicated musicians I've ever met."
