AudioOpera

AudioOpera is an electronica musician based out of Winnipeg, Canada whose productions are heavily packed full of pop culture influences of the late 90’s early 2000s . In the summer of 2012 came his most recent release, the self titled LP, AudioOpera. The LP includes a variety of glitchy, mis used synths and chopped vocals. Along with the release of AudioOpera, came the video for the first single off the album Carly Beth. (link 1) The video was directed by Avery Steadman, member of the Electric Reel Production. AudioOpera is currently promoting the album across live venues in Winnipeg.

In the past, AudioOpera has opened up for members of Grand Analog, Ultrademon and Zombelle. AudioOpera is also known for his production and performances with the local Winnipeg rap trio, Butter Pretzels. Besides promoting his current LP. he is also working on developing and positing videos for every track off his 2011 LP Noslen. This LP demonstrates AudioOpera’s diversity in the electronica scene, as the album consists of what can only be described as witch house rap with a slightly odd and compelling vibe. Some of the videos for tracks off Noslen can be found on AudioOpera’s youtube page (link 2), and by the end of 2012 all videos are expected to be released to the public.

AudioOpera is continuing to produce for Butter Pretzels, as well as make appearances at their shows to perform tracks alongside the group. In 2013 he is expected to release various forms of media, including the score he is currently working on for Electric Reel Productions next film short, a new music video for Top Back off his LP AudioOpera and he has also begun to work on his third LP which is expected to be released in 2013 that will incorporate different aspects of witch house, with an emphasis on new instrumental sounds in hopes to bring a change in dynamic to his live sets.
