Bio

Growing up in the small town of Highland, Michigan country music singer-songwriter Audrey Ray made her move to the bright lights. Country music was always playing in her home and she was always encouraged to sing everywhere she went. Early on, Audrey was influenced by a wide variety of music from her father. She was very much influenced by tunes of Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Patty Griffin and Steve Earle. After learning piano and playing for a number of years, Audrey found a new inspiration with the guitar. Thanks to her father, he taught her three chords and Audrey taught herself the rest.

In 2012, Audrey released her first single "Reckless" to iTunes which was co-written by Audrey and producer Shane D. Grush. "Reckless" became a very important song to Audrey and she was able to perform live at 99.5 WYCD Studios with Rob Stone. Later that night in the studio, "Reckless" was played over the airwaves for the first time August 12, 2012 during the live in studio event, "Thursday Night Live with Rob Stone" thanks to 99.5 WYCD. Audrey was also honored to perform a showcase at BB Kings in Nashville, Tennessee where she performed her debut single "Reckless" to a full-room of country music fans. Audrey has also opened up for local hometown Michigan country rockers: Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys, in her hometown filled local bar and never will forget that moment. Audrey Ray has also shared the stage with Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys multiple times throughout the years at Quake on the Lake, in Waterford, MI, (2015) and at The Shelter, in Detroit Michigan (2015).

In 2013, Ray released "Hell to Pay" to iTunes, written by Audrey Ray and co-written with Shane D. Grush, and spent time in the studio creating new material and performing. Audrey has also performed at 99.5 WYCD's Nashville in the Neighborhood Concert Series in Downtown Mt. Clemens in 2013.

Country music singer-songwriter, Audrey Ray, is quickly becoming a household name. Just at 25 years old, Audrey Ray has performed numerous concerts throughout her hometown state of Michigan, and has even made a name for herself performing outside of Michigan as well. 2015 marked one of the best years yet for Audrey Ray, as she and her band made her first appearance at 99.5 WYCD’s Downtown Hoedown, Friday, June 5th as the first act to open up the Hoedown, including other stars: Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge, Brothers Osborne, A Thousand Horses, Cam and more. Audrey Ray was also featured onWDIV Channel 4’s Live In The D, to kick off the Hoedown, with a live in studio performance, opened up for CMA New Artist and Female Vocalist of the Year Nominee, Kelsea Ballerini to a crowd of 20,000+ at AquaPalooza on Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township, Michigan, brought to you by, NASH FM 93.1 Detroit, and Colony Marine along with country newcomer, John King. Audrey Ray also made her first appearance in 2015 performing at The Legendary Machine Shop, in Flint, Michigan opening up for a room-full of country music fans for Jon Pardi on his “All Time High Tour 2015.”

From touring all over Michigan to Cincinnatti, Ohio at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill, to Fort Wayne, Indiana at The Rusty Spur Saloon, The Backroads Saloon in Marshall, Michigan, The Gate Bar & Grill in Big Rapids, Michigan and much more.

Audrey Ray wrapped up 2015, with writing a new song with her band, "Back Road Memories" written by: Audrey Ray, Thomas Furbacher, Kevin Kanka, John Massey and Ken Kudsin coming home from a show in Cincinnati, Ohio. Also in 2015, Audrey Ray released her first Offical Music Video to Vevo for "Back Road Memories" filmed and directed by Michigan local EMMY nominated Director/Writer/Producer, Sam Logan Khaleghi, who also produced multiple music videos for Michigan local country rockers, Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys. With an incredible 2015 under her belt, Audrey Ray got added to perform at The 2nd Annual A Very Country Christmas Presented by: Live Nation Detroit, with Paulina Jayne and Daniel Harrison and the $2 Highway leaving 2015 on a high note at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, Michigan.

2016 for Audrey Ray and her band was another incredible year for an Independent Non-Signed Country Artist. After releasing "Back Road Memories" to Country Radio, "Back Road Memories" received a month of airplay time on Cumulus Radio - Flint's Hit Country NASH FM 95.1 from the end of May throughout the whole month of June.
