Audrey Cecil's new CD is so well produced I had to double check that it was a local release and not nationally distributed or produced somewhere out in California. Her songwriting is full of good hooks and excellent melodies accompanied by expert musicianship. A Louisville, Kentucky based singer-songwriter, Audrey Cecil is becoming known regionally for creating haunting vocal harmonies and acoustic textures. Her insightful lyrics, engaging guitar work, and disarming vocal style weave a musical fabric uncommon in alternative folk-rock. She plays well over 100 local, regional, and national shows each year. She and her bands have shared the stage with the likes of Garrison Starr, Girlyman, Company of Thieves, The Hamiltons (Nini Camps and Trina Hamlin), Tracy Rice, Eric Himan, Ben Sollee, Brooks Ritter, and more.
