AURA

Aura formed in early 2008 after the breakup of one of the MS gulf coast's favorite bands Joshua Sun. After relentless rehearsal and writing sessions, they went on to record at Riverside Studios with the area's best known rock producer, Mark Black. The result was the album "Fall of 08." Following the release of this album, AURA went from being unheard of to one of the most popular bands along the MS coast and into Louisiana and Alabama almost overnight. To date, AURA has played just about every major venue in the area including the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi and The MS coast Coliseum. In their short tenure, AURA has also shared the bill with the likes of Cold, Hoobastank, Filter, Hail The Villan, 12 Stones, Egypt Central, Pop Evil, and HURT. They were two time "Pick It or Flick It" Champions featured on the #1 rock radio station the the southeast market (WCPR 97.9 FM) with the singles "Life from the Top" and "Exhale"
The current line up, consisting of Tyler Voss on vocals, Kris McKenzie on guitars and backing vocals, Waco Zirkle on bass and Justin Eiland on the drums, are hitting the studio again to record a long awaited follw-up album. They are again working with engineer/producer Mark Black, but at the new state of the art Cenico Studio in Biloxi, MS. Cenico Studio is part of Cenico Music Records, an independent record label in which AURA became the first band on their Artist Roster. AURA has been reaching new heights with the release of their first single "Give Myself To You" from the new album, set to be released this summer. They are already receiving airplay on regular rotation locally and the single will soon be distributed to radio stations nationwide. AURA recently won the region's Budweiser Big Stage Music Search out of 50 local and regional bands, and their momentum is in high gear.
