The best kept secret in music

"Boston Phoenix"

"The Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone have the keys to your heart -- all 88 of 'em, right there in black andwhite. Conjured with just synthesizers and their gorgeous voices, their siren songs are luminous, numinous, light-as-Air pop: Casios murmuring softly, heartbeats thump-thumping, cooed countermelodies interweaving like the finest Spanish lace, swooning whispers aiming for the aethereal empyrean."
- Boston Phoenix

"Time Out New York"

"Brooklyn keyboard-pop trio Au Revoir Simone's warm, gently sweeping melodies sound like they were inspired by dreams about unicorns and summer rainstorms, and lest you think that’s an insult, let us assure you that we simply love unicorns." - Time Out New York

"The Gothamist"

"Au Revoir Simone creates an airy synth pop that'll make you levitate above the dancefloor. Most bands conjure up a handful of comparisons to other bands they sound like...this band tends to drum up images of seasons, stormclouds and sirens. With whispers set to synthesizers these lo-fi lovelies aren't to be missed, recorded or live." - The Gothamist

verses of comfort, assurance & salvation - 8 song mini-album released by Rallye Label in Japan, Moshi Moshi in Europe/UK for fall '05 and self released in the US.

Feeling a bit camera shy

au revoir simone started getting together in the fall of 2003 in erika's bedroom to play sinister pop covers on a collection of tiny keyboards. they soon upgraded to bigger instruments, a practice space, original songs and playing shows in some of NYC's best venues. their first few recordings became instant underground hits amongst bloggers and the indie music community in NY and abroad.
