Aurora Activity Pony

Formed in Fall of 2010. Aurora Activity Pony gathers its name from the child toy activity pony. Musically, the band has always been interested in the live electronic music scene and started a scene of its own in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is a dark undercurrent and eeriness in the sound of most of the songs and lyrics. The band takes on a modern futurist aesthetic fused with its admiration for technology and individual creative mind. Utilizing visuals and interactive elements, The Pony produces a show that casts a wide appeal from electrorock to synthpop, techy, philosophically-charged. The band is a true cosmopolitan mix.

Aurora Activity Pony is fronted by German/Italian Conrad Schuman, composer, vocalist-guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Hailing from Finland, and having toured in Europe prior to being a founding member or the band, Veli-Matti Matilla is one of electronic rock's most versatile and creative drummers. Taiwan born and world traveled Stefanie "Cosmic Cupcake" Ku is a synth master, always challenging the frontiers of sound. Working as a sound healer and creating audio visual avante-gard soundscapes is a true art form for her. Bass virtuoso, Van Spraggins progressive bass playing lays the thick foundation that is Aurora Activity Pony and arguably the most attuned musician to his instrument.
