"A Rare Occurrence: Okay, God knows I love me some rock bands, but when I get a message that describes a group as a “unique alternative band,” I instinctively cringe. You probably do, too. Even so, there’s something charmingly fresh about Lawrenceville, GA band Austre Giltrap. Our influences are varied and our inspiration is limitless. Genre is the weight around music that drags it to the bottom of suck and drowns her aspirations. We play what we want and how we want at times deemed appropriate...often inappropriate.
Austre Giltrap is rude, sexual, sarcastic and violent. Our music is the weapon we yield in hopes to slay the radio. Atlanta, Ga is poised to forge a music scene that rivals New York, Seattle, or L.A. Austre Giltrap will be there spitting blood and breaking bottles with the rest. We invite anyone with the nerve to join us. If you're lookin for pretty emo bands, you're not going to find it here. If you're looking for dramtically gothic metal heads, pop a vein and go pout in the corner. THERE IS MORE TO ROCK N ROLL THAN YOUR HAIRCUT AND TIGHT JEANS!
