Bio

The Biography Of:
Damon Williams
A.K.A. Authentic

May 31, 1999, life took a turn for the better for one, Damon A. Williams. For this is the day that the Lord has made and we will be glad and rejoice in it! For Heaven and all of its angels rejoice over one soul saved for the Kingdom Of Christ. That is exactly what happened when Damon turned from the world and turn to Christ by denouncing sin and accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior. Not long after, this young man was even the more empowered when he was baptized in the Holy Ghost. Rap music was a big part of his life and influenced him in a tremendous way. So much so that at the age of 15, he started writing rap and fine tuning his skills battling fearlessly in the streets of Jacksonville, Florida against anyone who stepped to him, but it was all love though.

Not realizing the influence rap had on his life, he soon began to mimic the lifestyles of those who he listened to. Tattoos began to mark up his body. Gold teeth were embedded because of certain people he thought were cool and figured he would get the same response. Years went by and the more he listened the more of a negative influence the music began to have on his life and his music. Sex, drugs and death in the streets were the topics of discussion in his songs.

God began putting people in his path that would witness to him with the truth of God’s word, but of course he refused to listen. The day came when he was tired of running. Life had beaten him down and his music had gotten too dark and demented. When Damon did accept Christ, he felt rap was not apart of the church so he put down the mic. It just so happened that the ministry he became apart of had a Christian Rap Group (Royal Priesthood) and when he heard them minister, a flame was sparked in him to carry the torch and preach the Gospel through his music. He sat under the word of God learning truth through his pastor, Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes for a period of four years before he even touched the mic to minister. This was done to make sure he was well taught and able to minister through rap and not just rap without ministering. The rest is History and through Christ along with a desire to win souls………. The Saga Continues.
