Automorrow

Automorrow

BandRockAlternative

The band is 1 part punk, 1 part dub, 1 part electro dance. Lots of vocal harmony, lots of stage presence, and an extreme desire to connect with people through our music and our live sets.

Biography

Automorrow isn’t your average North Texas band, they are a three-piece band with a live show (nominated best of 2010 by Fort Worth Weekly) that takes you on a roller-coaster ride of change-ups, deep grooves, thick harmonies, and intense rock. A self-produced EP, two digital singles, and a healthy stock of music videos make up the stable of quality material this band has produced since it began gigging in April of 2007.

Automorrow’s members came together to start writing music in 2005, an unlikely trio with very different musical backgrounds and taste. Producer Ben Napier, and his longtime friend and drummer Adam Reeves began to jam with guitarist Michael DuFault, from the now defunct North Texas ska band Censored. Born of some late-night jam sessions in a local studio, the first of the then unnamed bands’ songs were written. As other bands and projects came to a close for its members, Automorrow was christened. The band has been picking up momentum ever since, moving beyond many bass players, exploding house parties, and shows throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Currently, the band is working on their first full-length album, having already released two digital singles in the past 6 months, “Get Your Own Friends” and “Martians”. These singles highlight the evolution from the bands' debut EP, and have been featured on 102.1 The Edge, 97.1 The Eagle, and 88.7 The Choice. In addition to the recordings, the band is looking to improve its already acclaimed live show, and continue to bring its performance to other markets, moving into 2011 stronger than ever.

Lyrics

Pulse

Written By: Automorrow

When I met her on the street haphazardly juggling jigsaw pieces
This femme fatale she must have moved my heart with Telekinesis
Wearing dark clothes and glasses using her mind and moves alone
I was shanghaied almost instantly to a place I'd never known
Where my whereabouts and my care-abouts were soon inconsequential
and only the pleasure I spied inside of here pupils was essential
to this increase in speed of my heart beat I was given no mind
what is a beat on any drum except for passing time

My heart beats
But one in 6 billion
My heart beats
For more of this feeling
My heart beats
My heart beats

When I came to myself was not the self that I knew
Beneath two shifting sunken eyes there was an emptiness that grew
As if I'd gambled everyday and forgot the aftermath
As if mistakes that I had made and made mistakes on my behalf

Where would I go
Without it

Overboard

Written By: Automorrow

If you haven't heard enough you're not listening
But if I turn it up would you miss the point
And if I died today would you miss me
Or would that coincide with your TV guide

I'm not gonna drown with the likes of you
Would you turn the TV down

And if I died today, would you miss me
Or would that coincide with your TV guide

I'm not gonna drown with the likes of you
Would you turn the TV down
Sinful sirens sound
And you'd hear it too

A canary in the coal mine takes the stage
I thought I heard the sound of change

It always gets me how the time is always now

Walk Away

Written By: Automorrow

We said we'd never be like this
But it was easy to forget

A walking shadow woke up in your room
Saying things you'd never say
You didn't notice I was watching you
I was walking away

I have always just been this way
This can no longer be the way it has to be

I said I'd never be like this
But it was easy to forget

A walking shadow woke up in your room
Saying things you'd never say
You didn't notice I was watching you
I was walking away

Pick it up now
Now pull this out
If you're gonna drag this out
We're gonna have this out

Won't you open both your vacant eyes

With all this time
You thought you wasted

I was walking away
