Liverpool, England, GBR

Autoson 'Melodic Mayhem', their unique style of Post Punk is both ambitious and exhilarating. Their gigs represent a fucked up post punk rock opera, you gotta be there to believe it.
Already receiving positive feedback after only a dozen live shows this band is only in its embryonic stage. If you like jagged guitars driving bass lines and thunderous drums, Autoson are well worth a listen.

Autoson were born 18 months ago started by the then 17 year old singer/songwriter James Woodruff, he started rehearsing with drummer Ryan Jackson 18, then along came guitarist Jason Marsden also 18. They started turning James raw post punk song ideas into a sonic wall of sound completed with the inclusion of Matt Kearon on bass.

Raw, gutsy and energetic with a twist of melody from James deep barbed vocal delivery to Jacksons thunderous drumming laced with guitarist Marsdens unique riffing, finished off with Matt Kearons driving basslines.

There influences range from: Interpol, Editors, Joy Division, Arctic Monkeys, The Cure, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Beatles, Radiohead, We are Scientist, The Who, Placebo, Joy Division, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, The Horrors, The Cure, Sex Pistols, The Clash....the list goes on.

They are now regulars on the Liverpool gig circuit having played
The Zanzibar
The Shipping Forecast
The BaaBar
The Picket
Engine Rooms

And they have just been picked from 15 bands to record a 4 track demo at Lipa.

We are in the process of recording our official debut E.P. which should be complete at the end of November.
