"AUTOTOMII-Green Doors"

Autotomii are coming from New Orleans and I came into them recently during mining the Bandcamp pages. Judging by the amount of releases they put out on Bandcamp, they are already an established group with influences rooted in electronica, jazz fusion, progressive rock, funk, experimental…

Green Doors was released less than two weeks ago and shows the band at its most mature in terms of quality of the offered material. From its most jazziest parts to opiate post-rock passages this release proves a classic definition of progressiveness. Dynamic when it’s needed, dull – but not boring – when it’s needed, Green Doors is one of the a-pleasant-surprise albums for 2013.

Check it out.

Bio

Formed in late 2008 as a trio, by 2010 had grown to a 6 member group with the introduction of saxophones and other winds. AUTOTOMII has released 2 albums since 2011. They write, arrange & perform their own instrumental, original music. Performances are held in New Orleans and the surrounding Southeast. Years may pass, but AUTOTOMII’S nascent doctrine of creating new and enchanting music for the world remains unyielding.
