Bio
The band started rehearsing in autumn 2009 and immediately stumbled upon brand new material and a complete change of direction from where they had immerged from. This saw Sean reverting back to a front man role, while Chris Weeks was called for bass duties and Andy Hucksted remained the back bone by supply a rootsy click to these new foundations.
“It was nice to start a new band and already know all the members from previous events, I think this is why the song writing came so easily to us” explains Sean
Within a few months the band were being offered support slots with established acts and decided to act upon one of these offers by playing with the DOGS at the Quatrehouse, Folkestone. This saw the band instantly widen their fan base as diehard fans began to realise what Autumn Few were standing for.
“That gig changed everything for us, we had done a few warm up shows before but were basically still trying to find out feet – by the time we reached the Quatrehouse we were so ready for it! It all started from there for us”
The band then took to the studio to embark on the recording of their debut EP and fans were invited to send pics to be included within the EP Artwork.
“We thought it would be nice to involve the people actually downloading the material, at least this way they are part of the process – I think it helps them see how much it means to the band – music isn’t just a product on the shelf to the real bands out there, it’ a product of themselves – a way of packaging your soul for public consumption – it’s all bonkers really but we love it!”
