Many artists struggle to establish their musical identity, trying on different musical styles like a piece of clothing, looking to find what fits. But there are others that emerge fully formed, in full command of their craft, their identity and their music. Avery Ivan Wright, Jr., known under the stage name AV, firmly fits in the latter category. His debut EP, "Here I Am" is a groundbreaking and exciting debut that epitomizes the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent, one whose music feels familiar in the best possible way while creating its own lane.
A Tennessee boy who was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A growing city in the center of other big market cities like Atlanta and Nashville. AV, also has ties to Cincinnati, Ohio, splitting time of his life between Chattanooga and Cincinnati. As a child his main focus was acting. He didn't realize the extent of his singing abilities until his high school career started. His mom transferred him to Chattanooga High School, a public school that had a special section for students to explore their performing talents. "I never knew I could sing. I was noticed by the music theater teacher, I was singing in the bathroom. I, honestly, thought I was in trouble, but he wanted to talk to me about switching to the Music Theater department. Once I started singing Broadway songs I noticed the response I got from the females, and the love grew from there." He's being created the local singing trio to further expand his performing experience. The trio began entering local talent shows and school showcases. " Starting out singing Broadway and Classical opened my mind to different types and aspects of music, and then I couldn't stop singing. I began singing everywhere!"
Trying out group after group after high school, AV began to get discouraged, but with the advice from several produces around the area, family members, and several close friends and fans, AV decided to pursue a solo R&B career. His name and talent began to flourish and grow. Everything started to fall in place. AV, then, linked up with NRE CEO/producer, Kunstruct from the DBLOCK MEGAMUZIK GROUP NATURAL HABITZ, who saw his potential and signed him to NRE (Natural Recording Entertainment). "Working with Kunstruct has been a dream come true to me. We have a musical chemistry that is hard to match. He has opened my mind, eyes, and has open doors for opportunities that I only can imagine what's in store for me as far as my musical future is concerned. He has also opened avenues for the world to hear my voice. Not just the nation, the world!"
This connection allowed AV and Kunstruct to collaborate for the forthcoming EP Here I Am. With production from Kunstruct and more, Here I Am embodies a contemporary urban/R&B vibe and smooth ear-catching melodies. "A lot of hard work went into this project. We made sure that we kept the music sincere and very unique. Its my first solo project so a lot of excitement went into it also. I think Kunstruct was just as excited, if not more. You would have thought it was his first EP."Simple Girl" is the first single off the EP. You noticed an amazing sound with one of a kind lyrical content. " This song embodies me and my type of woman to a T. I don't need much. You got to enjoy the simple things in life that includes to type of female you choose also. So that's what I wrote about. "Let's Go" is the ultimate positive party anthem. "NATURAL HABITZ wanted to create a dance song that embodies partying without the pressures of drinking and such. They asked me to help write and be on the hook and history was made!!! "We just wanted to have fun, and that's exactly what we did. It shows in the song. Its a fun song!" "Let's Go" is a song from NATURAL HABITZ FEATURING AV. This song debuted in the world renowned 2011, cult classic movie, "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas 3D." AV's is blossoming and he is now preparing for performances as his buzz quickly builds. He is, also building a rapport and staying close to his fans. "To me, my career has JUST began. Gotta give it up to EVERYONE who has had faith in me since day 1, and still does. I'm doing this for them. Dedicated to them. I gotta keep close to them. I guess you can call me, "People's Champ," or better yet the "People's Celebrity!" Here I Am!
