Bio
Born as Melanie Lynch in Atlanta, Georgia, the future Avalon Rose was a staple Southern girl, moving to Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 10 to live in the heartland of music. An elementary obsession with filmmaking (she acquired her first camera in the 4th grade) lead to a love affair with the entertainment industry, as she became the “film girl” at school, choosing film projects over papers and adoring intense movie discussions. Concurrently, her passion for theatre (she also appeared in her first show in 4th grade) resulted in a constant stream of both community and school shows, from It’s A Wonderful Life to Shakespeare, as well as a slew of voice lessons and a personal library of 150+ musicals, her absolute favorite genre of music. Constant perseverance, dedication, and good grades – evident through many scholastic awards and honor societies – lead to an opportunity for Avalon to skip her senior year of high school at the age of 17 in order to attend a top University in Los Angeles, where she began her studies as a theatre and film double major and became actively involved in the student television station and film fraternity. Propelled by a fervent love of all things fantastic, ethereal and “girly” in life, Avalon, aided by Momentum Records, realized the ultimate combination of her passion for Broadway, classical, and pop music in the form of Broadway/Operatic Dance fusion music. Avalon loves the wonders which can arise from an intellectual understanding of the world coupled with emotional connections which make one’s heart soar, and her music exemplifies the epitome of heartfelt stage songs remixed with upbeat modern tempos which exemplify an utter love of the moments of life.
