Inspired not by the makeup’s and breakup’s of boyfriends and girlfriends, but by the makeup and breakup of self, Ava, Wait has managed to pull the angst ridden rock genre out of the high school hallways and mold it into a more sophisticated vision of emotion. With their unabashedly honest and revealing lyrics, Ava, Wait creates a pain that is palpable, venturing into aspects of society and personal affliction that have not yet been deemed worthy of attention.
