Avenging Benji began in the early 2000's as the solo project of Ben Jackson under the name The Ben Jackson Group. The band evolved into Avenging Benji with the 2010 release of Golden Dragons. The nucleus of Avenging Benji is the guitar team of Ben and Borgy, who have played together for 16 years. Ryan and Kei joined the band in 2014, when Kei was only 14 years old. Avenging Benji recorded the new album and played Rocklahoma in 2016. Next came the Crimson Fire Tour in May 2018 at which time Wade Black was added to the lineup, to share lead vocal duties with Ben. During the 3 week European tour, the band played sets of both AB songs as well as Crimson Glory songs performed by Wade Black, who sang on Crimson Glory's 1999 release, Astrononica. With the new CD complete, AB is targeting a 2019 release as well as seeking tour and festival opportunities for 2019-2020.
