Bio

Each member came together at the end of a relentless search for other musicians with the same drive, ability to push each other into new and creative worlds, and the ability to blend each other’s influences to create something as appealing as it is challenging. Avenue Road came together from three different bands. Mike Nazzaro (drums) Chris Rosa (guitar) and Michael Toste (dj) were playing in Chatsworth, with female vocalist Dee. Once they decided to fill there sound, they recruited former A Shade of Red/Rexdale guitarist Daniel Notarianni and bassist Davin Kiss. A new drive was instilled into the band, singer Dee was unable to keep commitments and was let go. A search for a new singer lasted 3 months, when Danny T (vocals) showed up right out of Status. Showing as much drive, and dedication as the rest of the members through endless practice, recording and live shows, brought a sense of unity to the band, and helped to boost morale. This created excitement with in the band, and a new name was decided on, After the Years. As things progressed, a new band was born, Dj Toste was unable to keep commitments, and was let go of the band. But instead of letting this hurt the band, it made them stronger. Avenue Road took their full form on Aug. 15 2005, after playing and recording as After the Years for fourteen months. When the band decided to let go of Dj Toste, they also decided a new work ethic and a new name was in store setting a strict and demanding practice schedule, and booking as many shows as possible. They continue to build a fan base, playing sets comprised mostly of originals, with a couple covers thrown in to get new crowds going to songs they know and can immediately sing along to. Avenue Road is a band that follows in the foot steps of Finger 11, Thornley, Incubus, Chevelle, and others who provide a heavy groove, with thick, chest crushing bass, and pounding rhythms, all along side huge anthemic melodies that get the crowds screaming along. “Some times it gets so loud onstage I have to step away from my monitors and amps, it just gets unbearable, I love it!” Daniel Notarianni.
