Bio
For your reading pleasure, we have posted one of AVERY's letters to our beloved and devoted fans, the letters...
Dear letters,
So sorry I havn’t been keeping in touch, I know it’s been too long, and from all of us here at the Avery Mansion, we’d love to see you again. Last time I checked, Avery played an eclectic and hardly describable mix of indie/pop/dance/alternative rock. Our group of Decatur-ites had been playing and living together for three years and wrote their own unique songs, and the band consisted of Andrew McFarland, vocals and percussion; Will George and Mason Wray, guitar; A.J. Allen, bass; and Joe Crabb, guitar and keyboards.
Avery originated at Maddy’s BBQ with the help of their good friend Chicago Joe Jones, a notorious Atl. mobster, who untied Andrew, Joe, Mason, and Aj in 2003. After the band graduated to larger venues, and adopted Will in 2004, Avery released their first Ep, “Ciao Beep Beep Rides Again” (which is to be thought of as a compilation of great tunes written by Avery, rather than an album) and is named after Avery’s most beloved Vespa gang, Ciao Beep Beep.
We try our hardest to write songs that strike a match in the hearts of music lover’s everywhere, and letters, we really do miss you o so much. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks alot, and with much love,
Avery
