Biography

A View From The East Coast is a young and volatile band out of the Tampa Bay Area. Born of Pop Punk and the Florida hardcore scene, the band brings forth a sound more melodic than punk and reminiscent of edgier styles of music.

The Band was formed in April 2010 and has since recorded their first EP, Morning, which debuted on itunes in June. The EP spans a breadth of emotions inspired by the religious struggle of atoning the human condition with God and ultimate value.

A Christian band, AVFTEC seeks not to produce worship music but bring a different breed of religiosity to the musical table. A sort of Musical Apologetic, their songs seek a common ground in the joy, sorrow, and hope felt by all people and with these things in mind expose the presence of God and the frustration, longing, and ultimate happiness experienced by humanity.

Their Highly energetic stage show has been practiced and refined on numerous stages all over Florida since their formation. Playing alongside other locals and national acts, the band seeks to have a good time with their show and make sure their audience is as well.

Although life at times is truly troubling, their is still great hope and gladness to be found in it. It is this that A View From The East Coast aims to communicate with their listeners and they are grateful for any willing ear.

Lyrics

I May Not Be Ponde De Leon But I can Still Cast Spells like Harry Potter

Written By: A View From The East Coast

There's a place where the lovers go,
I've never been 'cause I've never known
Another heart that can hold me to
All the things that I promised you.

And they say the light that shines in their eyes
Could fill up the night, but that's more than my wandering heart can take.
And I will wait one more night, with my longing insides,
As the rustling of leaves sings me to sleep.

You should know that the wind calls as it blows from the east into the west.
Rest assured that I hang on every word cause I haven't caught up yet.

My love died on the open road,
Where the miles ran to meet the coast.
And at my heels are my greatest vices.
As broken hearts spring from my devices.

And I watch the stars stay right where they are,
So why can't I stay in a single place?
Guess I'll chase the wind. I'll chase the wind for one more night. One more night.

You should know that the wind calls as it blows from the east into the west.
Rest assured that I hang on every word cause I haven't caught up yet.

You should know that the wind calls as it blows from the east into the west.
Rest assured that I hang on every word cause I haven't caught up yet.
And I should know that every life ebbs and flows, from its sunrise to its set.
This and more, I know has happened before, I just haven't caught up yet.
