Awake In Theory

Formed in 2013, Awake in Theory was created from the remnants of Decateur, TX band 12 Gauge Warning with lead singer Eric Hawkens, guitarist Brad McCain and bassist Adam Garcia. With the addition of guitarist Terry Kimmel from Pittsburgh, PA and drummer Raymond Chambers of Lawton, OK, Awake in Theory was born and quickly began work on new material for the upcoming shows. Songwriters Kimmel and Hawkens crafted a collection of new songs and the band began pre-production on their first EP, set for release in Summer 2013. The band's first single, "Daddy's Little Girl" was released on April 2nd, 2013 and has received repeated airplay on KEGL 97.1 in Dallas and The Buzz 106.3 in Wichita Falls terrestrially and steady rotation on multiple internet radio stations since its soft release. "Daddy's Little Girl" will also be released on iTunes with the rest of the EP, produced and engineered by Alex Gerst(NothingMore, The Feds, Burden Brothers) and mixed by Jordan Popp(Janus, Seven Day Sonnet). AIT is currently sponsored by and proudly endorses 69 Chosen clothing, Lampifier microphones, Saluda cymbals and Curt Mangan strings. Awake in Theory has shared the stage with many local and national acts including Adrenaline Mob, NothingMore, Rehab, BNMC, Paco Estrada, Messer, Meridian and many more.
