Cover band moves out and on to original music! Awakened started with Mark, Marty, and Sam about 8 years ago just getting together to jam on a regular basis. We were playing a block party when Jim saw us jamming and introduced himself so we decided to work towards playing out as a cover band. We played covers from Metallica, Disturbed, Fuel, Tool, Audio Slave, Alice in Chains etc.
Once we became tight as a group Marty and Mark started playing around at writing original material and incorporating it into shows. Summer of 2007 we decided that was the direction the band wanted to go. We started working hard to write more material and are now at 10 original songs with a list of more in the works as we speak.
Our dream is to be able to do this for a living, write music and play it on stage for fans around the world. We are currently unsigned and not represented by anyone but ourselves. Hopefully that will change as we grow our fan base and more people get to hear and enjoy our music.
