AWEK is four talented musicians, and four personalities: Sellam Bernard - guitar and vocals, Stéphane Bertolino - harmonica, Joel Ferron - bass and Olivier Trebel - drums.

Voted "Best Blues French Band" in 2004 and 2005, "Best Album" for Just Pick Up The Pieces by France Blues Trophies, Awarded by Cognac Blues Passions in 2008, finalist of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2008, several No. 1 on Blues Radios and Blues Power XRoad, AWEK, after 16 years, 7 albums and well over a thousand concerts, is today one of the most important european bluesbands.
AWEK has participated in most of the major blues and jazz festivals in France, Europe, India and Quebec (Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, Tremblant Festival, Festiblues...) and even the U.S. ("Playing with Fire" in Omaha, the legendary club Antone's in Austin, the Orpheum Theater in Memphis ...), ensuring the first part of artists such as BB King, Blues Brothers, Sugar Ray Norcia, The Yardbirds, John Mayall and many others, or as headline themselves.
Designed as the previous in Austin Texas, the seventh and latest album "It's Rollin'", reflects the spirit of the band, currently highlighted by the meeting of three prestigious musicians, Fred Kaplan on piano, Mark "Kaz" Kazanof on saxophone, and Derek O'Brien on guitar.
