Born and raised in Miami based out of Jacksonville Florida, Awkward Groove brings you the sound of the human mind and heart. He goes from the deepest reachest of the soul, to the strangest parts of the psyche touching on both lighthearted and heavy subjects with his music. Being exposed to hip hop so early in life, he started to express this love at the age of 12 when he began crafting his earliest verses and culminated in him finally laying his vocals on a track at 18. Drawing on musical influences ranging from Outkast to Kid Cudi, Kanye West, 2pac, Bob Marley, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Trick Daddy, 2Live Crew, The Beatles, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and more.
