Band celebrates 1st CD
Saturday night will be a big one for Toledo hard-rock band Axiomatic.
Not only is it New Year's Eve and the band is headlining the Club Bijou, but they're also having a release party for their first CD, "Save Yourself," on Bad Dream Records.
"It's Axiomatic's welcome to the world," said bass player Matt Hubert.
He described the four-man group's sound as a mix between System of A Down, Slipknot, and 311. He said Axiomatic, which is rounded out with M.T. on vocals, Josh Ryder on guitar, and Mike Swing on drums, is eager to break out. "We've got to be pretty much the hardest working band in the world that hasn't done anything yet," Hubert said.
There will be about nine other bands Saturday night at the Bijou, 209 North Superior St., with Axiomatic taking the stage shortly after midnight. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Ok world are we ready for something original, something different? Must ever song sound alike? Axiomatic is a four piece band from Toledo, Ohio. We are for people with attention deficit disorder. Axiomatic was destined to make their presence felt on this planet with their music .We are constantly on the edge of sanity due(in part) to the crazy/complex string of events which manifest themselves in our daily existence. The result is a brutal blend of genres where no form of music is safe.
Drawing there inspiration from all forms of music Axiomatic brings new perspective to music world.
Axiomatic has graced the stage of some of the regions finest venues, and brought down the house with there high energy shows. In a world cluttered with made up bands that dont play live shows. Axiomatic takes pride in the fact that their shows are the area's must see events. Axiomatic also possess the abilty to draw out of more than their scene's ("metal") fans to their shows . A phenomon they attribute to the fact they make heavy music listenable to everybody , not just metalheads. You show up to an Axiomatic show not sure how to spell the name....and leave with it engraved in your head forever.
Axiomatics ability to draw a fanbase outside of there homebase has led to them becoming sponsored nationally by Halo Guitars and Artificail Complex Clothing. Due to constant touring and promotion Axiomatic's fanbase grows everyday. And with their successful release of their first Lp "Save Yourself" The skys the limit for this hardworking d.i.y. band
