Axis started when Ryan Hunter meet Trevor Searle. The two began to meet up on weekends to jam. This became a usual thing for the two. Over the summer, Ryan left for the Berklee College of Music in Boston to enhance his passion for guitar. On arrival back in Austin, Trevor was eager to hear about the summer. Ryan told him about his new found passion in writing very "listenable" tunes. The two rehearsed these songs and Trevor helped refine them. But one thing was missing, drums. This began a search for a drummer who would slid right in with the band. Axis was then formed. Playing together and making their performance as perfect as possible became an obsession.
