"QUE LOKERA"

AXXENT
Do The Damn Thing

It's been a long stretch between Lady O’s pop track –Left Right — long enough for Axxent to build a whole career, growing from a local act to an undeniable international group. Axxent seals the deal with—De Corazon, an all-grown-up album inspired by Delwin G’s Dominican Republic. "LOKERA" is the convince r, even if you can instantly tell the producer was just trying to roll out 50 Cents’ tracks one more time — Lady O rips over the captivating string loop with a sassy surge, sending this one out to the clubs and her fellow dancers while Delwin G Spanish flow keeps the Latin crowd banging their heads. Axxent's gotten a stronger grip on their Black Eyed Peas croon, and it's hard to imagine they don’t have an album's worth of hits here.

"AXXENT"

AXXENT

The third single of Axxent’s debut album “De Corazon” establishes the group as an urban multicultural force. The band’s collaborative project is yet another infectious and soulful masterpiece and it shows in the eloquence of the lyrics and melodies. Political overtones lurk throughout, but to Axxent's credit, much of the liberal sentiment is couched in metaphors that refers just as easily to inner fight as to withering faith in one’s government.-TC

"Nothign like the Holidays"

SANTA MONICA, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- There's nothing like the soundtrack to the comedy-drama Nothing Like The Holidays. With original music from dance-master Paul Oakenfold, cuts from three Latin music greats, a hip-hop classic, a '90s boy band smash, tracks from new artists, and even a recording from a group of Spanish-speaking Gypsies from France, Nothing Like The Holidays: Music From The Motion Picture (Hip-O/UMe), to be released December 9, 2008, is both eclectic and refreshingly original.

In addition, the soundtrack features "The Show," the 1985 classic of early hip-hop from pioneering beatboxer Doug E. Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew (which included Slick Rick), and "I Wanna Sex You Up," the 1991 #2 Pop/#1 R&B smash hit from vocal group Color Me Badd. Newer artists are AXXENT featuring BOI with "Mi Familia" and Twee, a Manchester, England, pop-funk-soul-rock singer-songwriter, with the heartfelt and stirring ballad "To Let Go" from an anticipated debut album and "Certified Crazy," her 2006 collaboration with U.K. hip-hop duo The Reluctants.

"LATIN URBAND BAND AXXENT SET TO TOCK THE SALVADORIAN FESTIVAL IN LOS ANGELES AUGUST 2ND "

Jul 26, 2009 – LOS ANGELES – The Latin urban band Axxent will rock the park on August 1 bringing its creative fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin Grooves and Reggaeton to the expected 50,000 people at the Salvadorian Festival at 1:20 p.m. in McArthur Park.

“We are excited to be one of the headliners at the Salvadorian Festival in Los Angeles,” said Delwin G of Axxent. “We are ready to bring down the house and have a great time.”

The festival kicks-off the band’s 2010 concert tour with national dates planned for New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. International stops will include Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Chile and others.

“Our goal in writing this record was to stay true to urban hip-hop while cutting across ages, races and cultures,” Lady O said. “We are on the cutting edge with our music and we are constantly experimenting to push our work to new levels.”

Axxent’s music plays well in a multicultural society that’s constantly blending and evolving.
“Axxent offers a new sound for the global age,” producer BOI said. “People talk about globalism and that is definitely true when it comes to music. Innovative bands are exploring music and mixing up different styles to define a new musical identity. That’s what Axxent is all about.”

Both lead members boast an extensive artistic resume and bring something unique to the table. Delwin G is an east coast Dominican rapper of relentless drive and wicked battle skills in both English and Spanish. Delwin opened for some of the greatest names in Hip Hop such as The Fugees, Run DMC and Sugar Hill Gang. Meanwhile, Lady O is an extraordinary European songwriter who combines old school sensibility with island rhythm, well crafted pop hooks and streetwise rap in English, Spanish, Italian and French.

To add to their international vibe is The Axxent Crew - a squad of the most talented hip-hop dancers in Los Angeles headed by lead choreographer Timothy Fahey. Fahey has worked with artists such as Bobby Valentino’s, Ginuwine, Pit Bull, Chris Brown and Missy Elliot and is currently teaching at Evolution Dance Studio in Los Angeles.

Produced by BOI, Marco El Mago and Jose Lopez, Axxent’s debut album “De Corazon” is set to take the music scene by storm.

Bio
