Lyrics

Vibin'

Written By: Ayana Soyini

Chorus
Vibin'
I'm high and loving the life I live it's exciting.
Whether I'm just cooling out or flying to another destination
I'm vibin'

Repeat 2x

Verse 1
Some people say I'm dangerous like a runaway slave (who's mind's eye is the 12 gauge)
Because I prefer not to work for minimum wage (no, no, no no, hear me)
And my vocabulary pays
It's coming like waves
I'm not mentally enslaved
No, No not me, you see I'm like Mtume
Because I'm juicy
Hip, Hip, Hooray
Do, re, mi, la, so, fa, ti, do
Flowing like the Nile and the Congo
Bo, Bo, lick a shot I'm in the zone
And sitting on this riddim like I sit on thrones
Ayana Soyini don't try to clone
I'm on my own, check the tone, getting in your bones and making you moan.

Chorus
Vibin'
I'm high and loving the life I live it's exciting.
Whether I'm just cooling out or flying to another destination
I'm vibin'

Repeat 2x

Verse 2
On the rhythm I'm giving what it's missing
Ayana Soyini and I'm living and living can be complex
Depositing checks, and far from the industry mess
What you expect?
I'm a microphone vet with my own sound set
Vocabulary chef making jams most def
Respect, whenever I touch the microphone
With intelligence holding my throne
Poppa was a stone and I'm his child
Lyrically wild, check the profile, check the style
I got the know how musically
Keeping it sewn not raggedy, live not maggoty
The ish that make you say who the hell is she?
Ayana Soyini, rebel G.I.R.L here to set a trend
Live to the end tell a friend.

Chorus
Vibin'
I'm high and loving the life I live it's exciting.
Whether I'm just cooling out or flying to another destination
I'm vibin'

Repeat 2x

Verse 3
I'm musical royalty collecting royalties
I'm living modern day prophecy
Channeling African philosophy
I'm the majority not the minority
I'm herstory
You can't ignore me cause I'm before me
Like nthe warriors who are coming after me
Oh say can you see but it's never to the Star Spangled B
Banner, grammar, deadlier than beatings with sledge hammers
I'm mental, physical, spiritual stamina
I'm anima blended with the animus
Elevating minds like pure cannabis
I'm bliss, I'm sweet like a kiss
And if I didn't thank the Most High then I would be remiss
Stars bring you luck on myself I wish
I'm an assorted mix
I'm everywhere in every hood like Bloods and Crips
The most wanted like a plush whip
I make your body do the dip baby, do the dip baby
I'm coming musically equipped baby

Chorus
Vibin'
I'm high and lovinh the life I live it's exciting.
Whether I'm just cooling out or flying to another destination
I'm vibin'

Repeat to end

I'll Be Free

Written By: Ayana Soyini

(Verse 1)
One day a homeless man stopped me asking for change.
When I replied I didn't have any he looked at me strange.
A Gulf War vet who lost his leg. No help from the government he had to work the streets instead.
That's what he said.
The gutter is his bed but yet he still smiled.
I chatted for awhile and he felt better.
That's when I realized, compared to him my life is much more together.
Whatta dilemma.
I reached into my pocket gave him change I said I didn't have.
Yet somehow, that only made him mad.
His eyes flashed as he took a swig from a flask and then he asked.
What does change mean to me?
if change was a deck of cards which card would I be?
Would I be a face card or a suit of royalty?
He said, change ain't measured in dollars and cents but how successful we are taming inner demons.
He gave me back the money and walked away calmy that was a sign just for me.
Maybe someday I'll be free.

(Chorus)
Someday...I'm gonna be free, free, free , free

repeat 4x

(Verse 2)
I had a bad dream last night.
I went to bed thinking about my sorrow, feeling like I'm gonna wake up facing the same things tomorrow.
Saw the story of my life, this life I chose.
I was standing on stage naked though I'm fully clothed (uh ohhhh).
A large crowd they want me to entertain.
The sun is shining bright yet it's pouring down rain.
On the sidelines, critics closely watching my grind cuz I dare to pint a pistol at the head of father time (I squueze).
They whispering I'm violent.
I tell them in my silence I can hear bombs going off in ireland and it's tiring.
I said Yall don't know.
Then I awoke reaching out for my soul (oh noooo).

(Chorus)
Someday...I'm gonna be free, free, free , free

repeat 4x

Repeat 1st Verse

Repeat Chrous
