Shane Nelson

Born into a family of musicians, Shane Nelson is a powerhouse of creative and energetic art; his foremost focus in life is crafting beautiful Hip-Hop music. He stands as an embodiment of several aspects of Hip-Hop culture: lyricism, fashion, self-reflection, and experimentation. Shane presents himself as a big league contender with seasoned sonic grace and precision, who is not afraid to step beyond the boundaries set forth by the traditional standards of Hip-Hop. He is currently working on his debut project.

The project is a representation of the hardships associated with advancing through life, love, and relationships, while maturing as part of a 21st century society. Tackling unrequited emotion, loneliness and longing, the carefree consciousness of youth, and the pressure to conform to societal norms, it is an extended metaphor, a period piece of a new generation. The project is enveloped in a sound Shane has dubbed, “Turnt Vocals”: passionate, exuberant, melodic, forceful, and heavily filtered vocals, which serve as the driving force behind each record.

Forcing legato melodies and staccato rap flows into collusion, Shane has intertwined delicate R&B grooves with immersive Rap patterns, coining the term Rhythm & Rap. The form of  #RAR music allows Shane to utilize his talents to their utmost potential, maximizing his ability to express himself through the artform. There are no templates, labels, or established paths which Shane feels obligated to follow; his sole focus is on crafting beautiful music, simple yet sophisticated, as we all ourselves are.
